A perfect rustic appetizer for a midsummer feast. Simple and delicious, this Herbed Garlic Bread wont take your more than 30 minutes, the perfect quick bite when you have guests on the way.

This recipe is perfect for feasts year round. Feel free to customize this recipe to your seasonal preferences. As the seasons change, use different herbs in this garlic bread, or just use whatever you have on hand!

- Baguette
- Unsalted Butter
- Garlic Cloves
- Fresh Thyme
- Sea Salt & Ground Black Pepper to taste
Instructions

- Make herbed garlic butter

- Slice baguette and smear butter between each slice

- Bake bread at 350F for 10 minutes.

- Enjoy with some olive oil, balsamic, herbs & wine!
Hint: chop some extra herbs so you can sprinkle some into your olive oil, balsamic mixture!
Substitutions
- Butter - feel free to sub the butter for a dairy free alternative, or use ghee if you'd like some extra digestive benefits!
- Thyme - sub thyme for any herb you have on hand; you can even get creative and mix a couple herbs together.
Variations
- Spicy - add cayenne or red chili flakes for an extra spicy kick
- Deluxe - add honey or maple syrup to the herbed garlic butter for a sweet twist!

Herbed Garlic Bread

Ingredients
- 1 baguette from the grocery store or homemade
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- ½ stick softened butter unsalted
- 2 tbsp fresh thyme
- sea salt & ground black pepper to taste
- olive oil, balsamic, extra herbs for dipping
Instructions
- make garlic butter by combining soft butter, minced garlic, fresh thyme, salt and pepper; mix until smooth
- slice baguette but don't cut the slices all the way through; the baguette should resemble an accordion
- smear the garlic butter in between each slice then wrap entirely with foil
- bake the bread at 350F for 10 minutes, then open the foil and leave the bread exposed while baking for an additional 10 minutes
- create a simple dip by combining olive oil, balsamic and herbs then enjoy with the bread and some wine if desired!
Storage
Store in foil in the fridge for a couple days!
FAQ
Feel free to keep the bread in the oven for an additional 5 minutes if you want the bread crispier!
