A Kitchen Witch Ritual for Digestion, Glow & Gentle Awakening
There’s something sacred about the first sip of the morning.
Before the scrolling.
Before the noise.
Before the world asks anything of you.
This is the ritual I reach for when I want to feel clear, warm, and awake from the inside out — a simple fire tonic to spark digestion, followed by golden turmeric honey to soothe and protect the gut lining.
It’s not just a drink.
It’s a digestive spell.

I drink the Morning Fire Tonic upon waking.
Then I take a spoonful of turmeric honey or stir it into a second cup of warm water.
Sometimes I follow it with:
- A protein-rich breakfast
- A morning walk in sunlight
- A few deep belly breaths
It sets the tone for digestion and mindset.

Morning Fire Tonic
- fresh ginger root
- lemon juice
- cayenne pepper
- apple cider vinegar
- water
Turmeric Honey
- raw honey
- turmeric powder
- black pepper
Instructions

- Chop fresh ginger and slice lemons

- Add ginger, lemon, ACV and cayenne to a pot of boiling water and let boil for 15 minutes.

- Add turmeric and black pepper to a small jar of raw honey then mix.

- Pour yourself a cup of the tonic then stir in the turmeric honey each morning before or during breakfast.
Hint: If you’re new to apple cider vinegar or cayenne, start smaller than you think you need.
Begin with:
- 1–2 teaspoons ACV (instead of 1 tablespoon)
- A tiny pinch of cayenne
You can always increase over time as your body adjusts.
This ritual should feel warming and awakening — not harsh or acidic. If it burns your throat or upsets your stomach, dilute with more warm water or add a small spoonful of your turmeric honey directly into the tonic to soften the intensity.

Storage
Morning Fire Tonic
This tonic is best made fresh each morning for maximum potency and brightness.
However, if you want to prep ahead:
- You can grate ginger and store it in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3–4 days.
- You can also pre-mix lemon juice + ACV in a small jar and keep refrigerated for 2–3 days.
- Store in glass, not plastic (ACV is acidic).
If fully mixed with water, store in the fridge and use within 24 hours. Shake or stir before drinking, as ingredients will settle.
Turmeric Honey
- Store in a sealed glass jar at room temperature.
- Keep away from direct sunlight and moisture.
- It will last 1–3 months, depending on the freshness of your honey.
If it thickens over time, simply stir before using.
If you ever notice fermentation bubbles or an off smell, discard.
