Morning Fire Tonic & Turmeric Honey

Equipment

  • small grater or knife for chopping ginger
  • citrus juicer
  • mug or heat safe glass for serving
  • small spoon for stirring and mixing

  • small glass jar with lid for mixing and storing the honey

Ingredients

Morning Fire Tonic

  • 1.5 tbsp fresh ginger chopped or grated
  • 1.5 lemons juiced
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 4-5 cups water

Turmeric Honey

  • ¼ cup raw honey
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 crack fresh black pepper

Instructions

Morning Fire Tonic

  • Grate about 1 tsp fresh ginger (or slice thinly).
  • To a pot of water, add ginger, lemon, apple cider vinegar, and cayenne. Let boil for 15 minutes.
  • Store in a large mason jar, reheat every morning.

Turmeric Honey

  • Stir turmeric and black pepper into raw honey.
  • Store in a small glass jar at room temperature.
  • Take ½–1 tsp after your tonic, or stir into warm water or tea.
